A landlocked counterpart to its Reef sibling, French Quarter Cologne from Michael Malul trades ocean for spice, bitter orange, crisp apple and cinnamon opening tart and warmly seasoned. Ginger, sazerac accord and myrrh deepen the centre into something spiced and distinctly boozy. Sugar cube, cashmeran and vanilla close the base sweet, warm and softly woody. A sazerac accord as a named material is a literal cocktail reference, giving the centre a specific, New Orleans inspired character.
