Parfums de Marly builds Delina around rose repeated in three different forms across the top and middle, an unusually disciplined structural choice for a niche release. Litchi, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg open with a bright, tart freshness that hints little at the density waiting underneath. Turkish rose, peony, musk, a petalia accord and vanilla crowd the middle into an intensely full floral bouquet, rich and heady, shifting the fragrance dramatically from its tart start. Cashmeran, incense, cedar and Haitian vetiver round things out warm and resinous, giving Delina Eau de Parfum serious staying power once fully developed. Floral musk is the fitting classification, dense enough for evening wear while remaining workable on a cooler afternoon. It suits dinners, celebrations and any cool-weather occasion calling for considerable richness. Fall and winter favor the incense and vetiver close most, once that density has had time to settle. Few niche florals have built as devoted a following around a single rose accord as this one has since release.
